La Mer The Cleansing Foam

 

When I was much younger, I always think that a face cleanser is something I shouldn’t spend much on. So I stick to drugstore brands and even picked up the cheapest I can find. But now I have a totally different perspective. 

If you ever going to invest in your skincare products, you should invest it in the cleanser. An effective cleanser is really the only thing that you need. Since it is also the first step in any skincare regime, you should pay attention to your skincare performance - do is clean your skin thoroughly, will it harm your skin (some cleanser contains ingredients that might strip off your skin), does it retain the moisture level of your skin? 

I really never give much thought to cleansers until I bought the La Mer The Cleansing Foam. I purchased this out of curiosity and it was also the time La Mer debut in Sephora, so I thought I would give it a try. This is when it changed my perspective of facial wash entirely.

Pros:

• As a first-step product in the beauty regime, I appreciate that it removes makeups, dirt, facial oil, etc. down to zero. You can skip the makeup remover (although I still faithfully use oil remover) and use just one cleanser to get the cleaning done. You can feel your skin clean and refreshed after each wash without the tightening sensation. 
• It has the Miracle Broth - a secret ingredient from La Mer that provides antioxidant and skin-repairing agents. 
• The texture is light and feels silky smooth on the skin.
• It is formulated without paraben, sulfates and phthalates - hence it is suitable for sensitive skin.  

Cons:

• I am on the fence about the price of the product. Although I appreciate its efficacy, there is also a certain reasoning that the price is too expensive for a facial wash. 

Other than its price, I really don't have any negative to say about this cleanser. To me, I feel that if the price is somewhere around RM250, I would highly recommend it to everyone. For now, I would say, if you can afford to give this a try, please do so. The product is good and it is probably the only facial wash that you need. 

Will I repurchase this? Probably yes. However, I would like to try the La Mer Gel Cleanser after this to compare the two. 

I also purchased the Replenishing Oil Exfoliator the same time I purchased the Cleansing Foam, which I will review after this. The two products work really good hand in hand.
