When I started this blog, I intend to cover all the range of beauty products. However, a lot of skincare and makeups are based on personal preferences and suitability, I’ve started a new topic here to feature Top 5 favourites from my friends. I hope, that way we can get more representation for different beauty needs. This month I’ve got a friend who is a makeup artist to share her favourites. Click below to read more on Kiki’s favourite products for after-work and bedtime skincare.

Gucci Beauty Lipstick Review: The Painted Veil shade in Satin & Matte Finishing
End of last year, Gucci brought the beauty line into Malaysia market and hence we have a stand-alone Gucci Beauty in KLCC. More about the store below. I was excited to try out the lipsticks and I have been wanting to get the vintage-inspired lipstick with turquoise cover. It turns out, that is the lipbalm. Gucci has different packaging for the different formula lip products. I'm not a fan of lip balm, so I'll pass. Instead, I bought the satin lipstick and matte lipstick both in the same shade - 201 The Painted Veil.

I feel like each month when I blog about What's In My Trash, I feel that I keep repeating myself when I say time passed so fast. I feel like a broken record for saying that, but the fact, it is! Here I am, showcasing the beauty products that I've used up in the month of January. There's a mix of skincare and makeups this month.

December 2019: What's in My Trash
It feels like just last week that I've blogged about the beauty products I've used up, and here we are, another post for the new month. In December I wasn't that proactive in using lots of beauty products. I missed lots of nights sleeping without any skincare on because my schedule was too hectic. So, here are the only 3 products that I've completely finished up and the mini reviews to go with it.

Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado Review
The Kiehl's avocado range took a few years of hiatus. I got to know it when I went to a newly opened Kiehl's shop early this year to look for this eye cream and the sales assistant looked at me with a puzzled expression. I believe she thinks I'm lying or crazy because her response was, "We don't have any avocado products." I was equally puzzled, because I know clearly that they had the avocado eye cream and it was my favorite a few years back. Finally, it is now back and I hope it's going to be a permanent range.
P/S: They also discontinued the acai range which I loved.
- Brand: Kiehl's
- Product Name: Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado
- Purchase From: Kiehl's, Bloomingdale's, Ulta, Selfridges, Macy's
- Price: USD48 / 14g
- Product Summary: This creamy preparation with Avocado Oil gently moisturizes the delicate eye area. The unique, concentrated texture does not migrate into your eyes. Tested under Ophthalmologist and Dermatologist control.

Top 10 Must-Buy K-Beauty Products in 2020
After published the post on Top 10 beauty products to buy in Japan, my friend asked me if I could do a K-beauty version because she's going to Seoul soon. I must say, I'm not really a big fan of the K-beauty products because the market is too cluttered and I find that a lot of Korean products are repetitive. However, I do have a handful of favourites which I can suggest for you to check out:

Kiehl's Iris Extract Activating Treatment Essence
I love my SK-II Facial Treatment Essence, but let's be honest... it is expensive! Also, I heard that a lot of people are not suitable to use the SK-II FTE because of its fermented essence. Hence, I want to recommend Kiehl's Iris Extract Treatment Essence that I have used for a long time. This is my second bottle, and I can say that I can't live without it.
- Brand: Kiehl's
- Product Name: Iris Extract Activating Treatment Essence
- Price: RM188/200ml
- Purchase From: Kiehl's, Selfridges, Bloomingsdale
- Product Description: With age, skin’s texture begins to look rough and radiance is lost. The causes are three-fold: skin’s hydration levels and cell turnover rate decrease, and the integrity of the skin’s layers is reduced. To reactivate these properties and impart essential nutrients, Kiehl’s proudly introduces Iris Extract Activating Treatment Essence – a multi-action formula that optimizes penetration of subsequent skin treatments and instantly reveals radiant, smooth and younger-looking skin.

Top 10 Must-Buy Beauty Products When in Japan Year 2020
One of my 2020 bucket lists is to travel to Tokyo. Although I've been to Tokyo twice, I still eager to go to Tokyo again. Part of the excitement when travel to Japan is to discover their beauty products. Japanese have amazing products and with their high standard manufacturing practice, you can be sure that you are getting high-quality beauty products.
It isn't hard to look for the best beauty products to try. When you enter any drugstore in the city area, they have package the best-sellers beauty products in a bundle and they are very easy to spot. You'll understand what I mean if you've ever visited the Japanese drugstore. Otherwise, look for the Cosme 2019 sticker on the products - that means the product has won the Cosme Award (beauty award in Japan).
Here are my picks for Japanese beauty products to try in 2002:

I Tried the Coco & Eve Hair Masque So You Don't Have To
For the same reason as the Sand & Sky Australian Pink Clay Mask, I bought this Coco & Eve Hair Mask because it keeps popping up my radar on social media. It feels like this brand came out overnight and was already a success in the market. Generally, I got curious. I kinda suspect that the Coco & Eve and Sand & Sky brands are from the same company, but when I looked up at the addresses, they're both different. If you have any information about the companies, please let me know.
Brand: Coco & Eve
Product Name: Super Nourishing Coconut & Fig Hair Masque
Purchase From: ASOS, Selfridges, Revolve ClothingPrice: $50
Product Description: A hair masque and tangle tamer set that will transform your hair after only one treatment, taming frizz and adding shine to your locks.
