January 2020: What's In My Trash

I feel like each month when I blog about What's In My Trash, I feel that I keep repeating myself when I say time passed so fast. I feel like a broken record for saying that, but the fact, it is! Here I am, showcasing the beauty products that I've used up in the month of January. There's a mix of skincare and makeups this month.

1. Too Faced Born This Way Foundation (Light Beige)

This is my second bottle of Too Faced Born This Way Foundation. What I like about the foundation is the hydrating character. Its texture isn't too fluid nor thick, so it makes it really easy to build up a fuller coverage with layering. With this one foundation, I can use it daily and also for a special occasions. There's no need to get another bottle of foundation for the different events. I highly recommend this, and if you buy it from HSN, you will receive a free kabuki brush.

2. Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Botanical Cleansing Oil

I have a love-hate relationship with this cleansing oil. It does its job well removing the toughest makeup. As a bonus, the lavender scent is calming and winds down a rough day when you are removing the makeup. But as a product that I frequently use on a daily basis, the price is not justifiable (unless you're rich). I compromised with the price for the reason to try out for the sake of my beauty blog, other than that, I'd probably won't buy it. There are other cheaper brands that deliver the same result but without the nice lavender smell.

3. Shiseido Perfect UV Perfector SPF50+ PA+++

For a full review, do click here. When I first purchased this, I thought... what a small bottle. And that small bottle lasted for 3 months! The liquid texture makes it possible to use very little product and surprisingly it lasts really long. Unfortunately, Sephora online didn't restock this, so I'm going for other brands so I could retain my gold membership. Speaking of creating loyalty, Sephora is the best. This is a really good sunscreen and I will repurchase it again.

4. K-Palette 1 Day Tattoo Real Strong Eyeliner (Super Black 24H WP)

I really loved K-Palette eyeliner, you can read it from my blog post back in 2012 over here. Unfortunately, I didn't like this one. I'm not sure if the product formula is different or where went wrong, it smudges on the wing of my liner frequently. And also, the eyeliner gets transferred to the top of my lid when the lid starts to get oily. I just put this eyeliner aside and since then, I counted, I probably used it less than a dozen times. It dries up naturally, and now it's time to chuck it out.

5. Hourglass Arch Sculpting Brow Pencil

Hourglass has been my favorite makeup brand ever since I tried their highlighter. They do produce a good eyebrow pencil too. It has a triangle shape of a pencil which creates a nice arch. The lead is very soft, so the product easily transferred on to the brow. It also has the spoolie at another side to tame those wild hair. I didn't finish the entire eyebrow pencil because it broke halfway beyond saving. I got a little too rough before rushing to work and ended up destroying about 1cm of the pencil that is left. It really breaks my heart because the product isn't cheap. Yes, will buy this again!

Till next month. じゃ、また.
