End of last year, Gucci brought the beauty line into Malaysia market and hence we have a stand-alone Gucci Beauty in KLCC. More about the store below. I was excited to try out the lipsticks and I have been wanting to get the vintage-inspired lipstick with turquoise cover. It turns out, that is the lipbalm. Gucci has different packaging for the different formula lip products. I'm not a fan of lip balm, so I'll pass. Instead, I bought the satin lipstick and matte lipstick both in the same shade - 201 The Painted Veil.

Pros:
- The formula is super smooth - particularly the satin one. I really want to get more shades from the satin range because it is so buttery smooth. It reminds me a lot of the Charlotte Tilbury satin lipstick. Even the packaging is oddly similar.
- The nude shade The Painted Veil is by far the one suits me most. It has a hint of pink and not too pale.
- Wear-time is average - about 4-6 hours.
- The vintage-ish packaging is something worth collecting. It is sleek and presentable. I really love the art nouveau engraving on the satin lipstick cover.
Cons:
- Expensive. Even if you break down the price per gram, it is still on the high range side such as Tom Ford or Marc Jacobs. However, despite the price, I'd still recommend you to get one if you're really into lipsticks.
- The lipstick formula has lead and the ingredients are not suitable for those who have extremely sensitive lips.
- The availability is only limited to store-purchase. Since the Gucci Beauty is only located at KLCC, for those who are not living in KL, it might be an inconvenience.
For those of you who are looking forward to purchasing the lipstick, the store is located at Ground Floor, KLCC around the middle concourse area.
At the moment, the brand is only focusing on lipsticks and perfume only. I personally think it's a waste of space to have such a huge shop with so many repeated displays of lipsticks array and perfume. The sales assistant told me that Gucci does not have other beauty products, but let's take a moment to flashback the Gucci Beauty products that were more disappointment:
Back in 2014 Gucci did try to launch their own cosmetics, no one know what went wrong and after announcing the launch, it quickly died. I'm glad that with the focus on the lipstick only, they're able to deliver really high quality product this time.
