November 2021: What's in my trash

The last time I posted on beauty products I completed/toss out was back in January 2020. I can't tell what happened in between because it seems like just a blink of an eye and we fast-forward to a year and a half later.

This is going to be a long post, with so many products empties that I have used up and also I did a little spring cleaning to toss out those I don't want to use further. 

Dior Hydra Life Oil to Milk Makeup Removing Cleanser

This is my third bottle, and that shows how much I love this makeup remover. With its sweet almond oil ingredient, it doesn't dry out the skin while removing the toughest makeup. This would be my constant purchase for now because it is really easy to use and gives the best cleaning for my waterproof makeup. 

Hada Labo Tamagohada Mild Peeling Lotion

I've tried a lot of toner, but I keep going back to this specific Hada Labo lotion. It has natural glucolic acid that removes dead cells effectively. I notice the difference when I don't use this toner - my skin appears bumpy and also felt like my pores were clogged. The only product that can give the same result is the La Mer The Tonic. However, in terms of the price, the Hada Labo is much appreciated. 

Melano CC Vitamin C Brightening Lotion

I got this free from purchasing Hada Labo products on Shopee. Because I frequently use retinol on my skin and for some reason, this lotion gives the stinging effect. I've used up a quarter of the bottle and give up. I'd probably put this up if someone wants it. It just didn't do anything to my skin.

Kat Von D Tattoo Liner

Hands down, this is the best liquid eyeliner that I've ever used. It doesn't smudge the entire day. It's even exercise-proof! The tip is sharp, hence easy to draw a straight line. I find the consistency is also easy to control. I've probably used up two dozen or more by now and will continue to purchase this.

Dior Diorshow Brow Styler

Not the best eyebrow pencil, but I like that it is thin. It's easy to create a precise line or get the feathery effect with this. However, it's not the everyday kind of product to use. It is easily broken and there's not much product in there. For the price, I think you can skip this. 

Hada Labo Premium Whitening UV SPF50/PA+++

I was looking for a fluid sunblock for my regular hiking outing. I love the texture of this, however, I don't think SPF50 is enough for outdoor activity. And I also don't quite like the whitening effect - I'm against whitening products, not because of being skin color inclusive, but generally whitening products contain harsh chemicals. 

Rosken Sensitive Skin Cream

For a period of time a few months ago, I was attacked with eczema. I didn't want to use my usual moisturizer, so I purchased this in a small tube. It doesn't contain sodium lauryl sulfates, fragrances, parabens, artificial colours, animal derivatives, harsh detergents, and mineral oils. So they claimed it as "for sensitive skin". However, it does contain alcohol, sodium hydroxide, and glycerin, which doesn't help on most sensitive skin. Do take note of that if you have sensitive skin.

Tatcha The Liquid Silk Canvas

This is a great primer for foundation. However, the price is quite hefty. It is lightweight and can be used for any type of foundation. I love the texture, the packaging but not the price. 

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo & K(+)

I'm not sure which of these products gives me burning skin. Immediately after I applied it, my skin turns red. There was once I applied overnight and woke up with swollen eyes. I can't figure out what is the ingredient triggers that, and also I'm not too sure which product is the culprit, hence I'm tossing this out.
