The PAT McGRATH LABS products never fail me. Before they became a mainstream brand, PML has been famous because of its quality and they didn't even need a strong marketing plan to sell out their products. Although now the brand is now worth more than Kylie Cosmetics, the quality is still maintained and they stay true to their brand although becoming mainstream. The Skin Fetish: Sublime Perfection Foundation was released after they've joined the Sephora.
Brand: PAT McGrath LABSProduct Name: Skin Fetish: Sublime Perfection FoundationPurchased from: SephoraPrice: RM280Size: 35mlPrice breakdown: RM8/1ml
Pros:
- If there is such thing as a second skin, this foundation fits right into that definition. It blends so well that it creates a subtle layer on the skin.
- The coverage is buildable. When applied to a single layer, it is light coverage. You can opt for two layers of coverage which will result to medium coverage.
- The formula is universal to all skin types. Which means it will not irritate the worst sensitive skin. It is also paraben-free and fragrance-free. There's to scent at all.
- The texture is weightless so it feels light and easy on the skin. This foundation is suitable for hot weather as it will not clog the pores or melt halfway during the day.
Cons:
- I can't find anything bad to say about this foundation because I think it is the holy grail of all foundations I've ever tried. The only downside of it is the price. It is expensive, and even more expensive than Dior or Estee Lauder range. If the budget isn't your concern, then the issue of price isn't going to affect you.
I'm not sure if it only happens to my bottle, the dispenser tends to have high pressure, resulting in the foundation squirted out too hard. A couple of times it stained my clothes. I checked with my friend who uses the same foundation but she didn't have this problem. That's why I didn't put this under the "cons".
The foundation is best applied with a sponge. Although applied with a brush is also not too bad, but because of the texture being too fluid, it does create some streaklines.
I would definitely buy it again in the future, but in the meantime, I'm going to recover myself financially after using this. LOL.
